AMD OpteronTM Processor-based Server Systems
New Line of 64-bit Servers
Based on new AMD Opteron Processor
Atlanta - April 22, 2003 - Monarch Computer, the Tucker, Georgia manufacturer of pre-built Personal Computers, award-winning CAD and Corporate Workstations, as well as Mid-to-High-End Servers today introduces a new server line-up powered by the AMD OpteronÔ processor.
Fully customizable, the new Monarch Computer Enterprise G64 line of servers will be shipped with memory configurations that range from 512 megabytes to up to 16 gigabytes of DDR SDRAM, as well as hard drive storage in the multi-terabyte range. Designed for the enterprise market, the servers will be available in pedestal, 1U, 2U, and 4U rackmount configurations and are also designed to be fully redundant with hot swap power and storage capabilities. Because the AMD Opteron processor uses AMD64 architecture, the new Monarch Computer Servers are backward compatible with all existing x86 applications. This will allow for a seamless transition from 32-bit to 64-bit applications. Additionally, the new server line ships with the most robust server management software ever available in a Monarch Computer system. The management software allows IT managers to power cycle the servers, make BIOS changes and install updates from a remote location.

AMD OpteronTM Processor-Based Server Available Now
Monarch Computer's enterprise G64 server line based on the AMD Opteron processor is presently available at Monarch Computer's website, www.monarchcomputer.com. Custom server orders can take as long as 7-15 working days from the order date to shipment. Additional time may be required for terabyte-class storage servers to allow for system burn-in and testing.
